Concert with Works from Movie Soundtracks
The Sinarades Philharmonic is pleased to announce a concert dedicated to the magic of film music, inviting the audience to enjoy an evening full of unforgettable melodies. On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 20:00, at the Municipal Theatre of Corfu, the sounds of the most emblematic musical themes of the seventh art will come alive through the interpretation of our Philharmonic.
The concert includes iconic melodies from films that have marked the world's cinematic history. The program includes musical themes from The Rock, Gladiator, King Arthur, The Godfather, The Police Academy, The Mission, Zorro, Cinema Paradiso, The Terminal and more.
Some of the leading composers in film history, such as Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Danny Elfman, John Williams, James Horner and Robert Folk., who have left their indelible mark on the world of film music with their iconic compositions and have defined the film world with their music.
The soloists of the evening will be Alexis Geoldasis (trombone) and Evangelia Nikolouzou (clarinet), teachers of our Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as Odysseas Alamanos (baritone), musician of our Philharmonic Orchestra, who will perform selected works of the programme.

This concert focuses on the dynamics of film music as an autonomous artistic expression, which is not limited to accompanying the image. This music shapes the atmosphere of the films and creates intense emotional and aesthetic experiences that remain alive in the memory of the listener.
